Service Question of the Month:

What's the difference between cleaning a bowling ball and resurfacing it?

Our Answer:

The main difference between cleaning and resurfacing a bowling ball is this.

Cleaning involves using different chemical compounds that we apply to the surface of the ball to remove residue such as lane oil and gunk that attach to the surface of the ball.

Resurfacing involves a sanding process which actually "digs" into the surface of the ball and brings it back to it's original state (or somewhere very close to it).  You would want to resurface a ball to rejuvenate it's surface when it starts to lose it's reaction, or when you want to change the reaction of the ball to accommodate for different lane conditions.

Submit a service question to our staff and it will be featured in future months right here on the services page:
